About the role
- The Junior Metallurgist is responsible for data analysis, bid preparation, technical report writing, and as needed, perform laboratory test work, manage and train metallurgical laboratory technicians, in support of metallurgical test programs.

- Respond to client inquiries and provide support as needed.
- Collaborate in a small team environment to achieve project goals
- Manual dexterity to perform repetitive tasks.
Requirements
- 2 years of engineering experience in a combination of:
- Metallurgical/Mineral Processing/Chemical Engineering industrial site experience,
- Recognized Engineering degree in Metallurgical, Chemical, Mineral Processing, or equivalent required.
- Wear issued personal protective equipment (PPE) as required including safety glasses, gloves, safety toed shoes, lab coat/coveralls, half and full-face.
- Ability to stand for a full shift.
- Ability to sit at a desk for general office work, including periodic sedentary responsibilities.
- Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Represent ALS Metallurgy at trade shows, conferences, mining shows, etc. as required; these events may occur outside regular office hours.
- Experience with analytical laboratory equipment i.e. ICP-MS/AES, FAAS, IC, XRF, Laser PSA, etc.
Nice to have
- Math and Chemistry knowledge preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, strongly preferred.
- Metallurgical/Mineral Processing Laboratory experience, highly preferred, and/or
