  • WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON 9fin's team of financial journalists is looking for the newest member of the Investment Grade team, a hungry reporter who can hit the ground running in a fast-moving, opaque and complex financial market.

Nice to have

  • Wish to join a rapidly-growing platform, winning market share, and attracting high-quality readership from financial professionals
  • An interest in finance, economics, markets, and understanding of basic concepts and terminology
  • Proven experience covering fixed income markets (IG, HY, Loans, CLOs and/or ABS) is a plus
  • Can work independently, with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Can write concise and fluent English, making technical topics accessible and engaging

Skills

  • Writing quick news stories while balancing investigative pieces covering market trends
  • Working with other members of our team of US- and UK-based journalists to confirm information and produce collaborative content

Compensation

  • 401(k) (ll pay 3%, employee contributions are uncapped)
  • 25 vacation days per year
  • Hybrid working model, to allow you the flexibility to decide how, where and when you do your best work
  • Work abroad for up to 3 months a year
  • 1 month paid sabbatical after 5 years of service
  • AI experimentation budget of $1,000 per employee to trial AI tools
  • Competitive Salary: $100,000-$140,000 (depending on experience)
