About the role

  • Evidence of an active research program in ecology or a related discipline that engages undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Duties/Expectations: The Department of Biology at Brigham Young University invites applications for a continuing faculty status (CFS) position in Field and Quantitative Ecology.

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate will establish and maintain an externally visible research program that involves undergraduate and graduate students in meaningful, mentored research experiences.

Requirements

  • All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All faculty are required to abide by the university's Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • The required degree must be completed by the start date.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in ecology, organismal biology, and/or field biology.
  • Experience with field-based, lab-based, or applied ecological research and teaching is expected.
