Responsibilities
- Use consistent techniques & company directives to screen, hire, train, coach, and develop on-site staff
- Deal effectively and consistently with performance problems; document adequately, communicate with Regional & Senior Vice President and HR and terminate appropriately when necessary
- Promote harmony and quality job performance of staff through support and effective leadership
- Develop yearly operating budgets/forecasts
- Monitor & maintain the timely receipt and reconciliation of deposits, rent collections, and charges to ensure submitted on a timely basis
- Develop yearly marketing plan and utilize marketing strategies & systems
Requirements
- Travel may be required for property visits, conferences, training sessions, or other business-related activities.
- Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements
- Experience with affordable housing programs, including but not limited to: LIHTC, HUD (Project Based Section 8, Section 236, PRAC, 811 PRA, USDA - Rural Development (515), HCD, HOME Funds and Bonds)
- For individuals hired to work in California, Asset Living is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
- basic computer skills required
Nice to have
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Bachelor's degree preferred or four years experience in the housing industry
- or 3+ years related experience and/or training
- Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) or Accredited Resident Manager (ARM) preferred
Compensation
- This position entails travel, estimated at 25-50% of work time annually.
