About the role
- As a Fleet Van Operator for Bird Canada in Edmonton, you'll play a vital role in managing our fleet of e-scooters and e-bikes to meet the community's transportation needs.
- Using Bird's mobile technology, you will monitor, transport, rebalance, and swap batteries for our devices, thus ensuring safe, environmentally friendly scooters and bikes are available to riders nearby.
- This role is ideal for self-driven individuals who thrive on autonomy, have excellent time-management skills, and enjoy driving on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
- Safely load, unload, drive, & operate a company vehicle following mobile app-guided destinations
- Support operations and logistics with fleet deployment in vans, staging in the warehouse, and collection of scooters from the field
- Collaborate and communicate with team members to accomplish shift goals in person and via mobile app.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring stooping, bending, walking, and standing for extended periods.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience driving larger vehicles (cargo vans, U-Haul Trucks, etc)
