About the role

  • We are looking for an Engineer with leadership presence, possessing strong technical and interpersonal skills, familiarity with industry-standard tools, the ability to work under pressure, and the ability to mentor junior members of the team.
  • (including, but not limited to the following):
  • High interaction with the Security, Engineering and Service teams, responding to escalated issues in a timely fashion

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an awareness of security and control issues in emerging technologies
  • Ability to scope, implement and support new security projects/initiatives
  • Lead Incident coordination between internal and external entities in alignment with regulatory requirements
  • As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will collaborate closely with Cybersecurity, Engineering, and Service teams to address escalated issues, manage SOC escalations, and support new security initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a system engineering or technical security role
  • A Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science or similar focus
  • Security Certificate such as
  • CompTIA CySA, Security+ and Network+ CISA, ISC-2 CC)

Nice to have

  • Microsoft Certified (MCSE) or equivalent certification a plus
  • Microsoft Cloud Security certifications preferred

Skills

  • Heavy experience with the Incident Response lifecycle
  • Familiarity with Microsoft (Office365 & Azure) and Citrix (Virtual Apps & Desktops) technologies
  • Familiarity with open-source intelligence gathering
  • Scripting ability and experience working with API endpoints such as MS Graph.
  • Ability to navigate and utilize a ticketing system (such as ConnectWise or Service Now)
  • Experience with change management and security remediation processes
  • Experience with security documentation, technical and policy writing
  • Takes ownership and excels in both independent and team project work
  • Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines
  • Utilize interpersonal and technical skills to effectively communicate with management, peers, and clients
