About the role
- Citizens Health is looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to work full-time in our Rehab department.
- Physical Therapist Assistant will report to the Rehabilitation Department Manager.
- Assist the Physical Therapist when performing test, evaluations and complex treatment procedures.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment in proper working order and adapts equipment to meet the needs of the patient.
- Perform treatments as ordered in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with established practice guidelines.
- Maintain a positive attitude with good energy.
- Create a positive, supportive working atmosphere.
Requirements
- Required Certification/Registration: Must have current license, certification or registration with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
- Attend and participate in required departmental meetings, and other meetings as instructed by the Director of Rehabilitation Services.
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy Assistant and eligible for licensure with the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts.
- Current Physical Therapy Assistant licensure with the Kansas Board of Healing Arts.
- Current C.P.R. certification or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Thorough knowledge of principles, methods and techniques involved in performing physical therapy services.
- Ability to deal understandingly and tactfully in a professional manner with patients and their families.
- Ability to maintain good working relationship with personnel in other departments.
- Ability to provide direction in application of physical therapy process, quality improvement standard, organization and departmental goals and objectives.
