Responsibilities
- Lead planning and installation of new manufacturing equipment and qualification processes.
- Map, document, and analyze existing processes to understand current workflows, identify inefficiencies, and provide actionable insights for optimization which allows for efficiency, quality, scalability, and waste reduction
- Supports process improvement initiatives and projects. Leads initiatives as assigned; Audit and report on the effectiveness of previously implemented improvements
- Develop and execute test plans and cases to validate changes, ensuring they meet requirements and expectations. Report on testing outcomes and recommend adjustments as necessary
- Provide feedback to design engineering in regard to manufacturability and assembly (DFM/DFA) of core EnPower products
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and perform the following for extended periods of time: standing or sitting, climbing/squatting/walking, repetitive motions and lifting
Requirements
- This role requires experience with standardized manufacturing practices, a willingness to understand 'why' something is, and the ability to coordinate improvements with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor's degree in related engineering, science, or related technical field.
- Relevant work experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree with knowledge of basic engineering principles
Nice to have
- Familiarity with, or knowledge of, any of the following areas of lithium-ion manufacturing preferred - powder handling, mixing, roll to roll slot die, comma or gravure coating, slitting and calandering,
- Experience with curing of thin-film products, packaging, or plant material flow optimization is a plus
