About the role
- We are seeking a polished, detail-oriented, and hospitality-driven Server to join the Moss New York team with Compass Group.
- Servers play a vital role in delivering a refined and memorable dining experience through attentive service, strong menu knowledge, and elevated guest engagement.
- This role is essential to maintaining a seamless flow of service, ensuring that every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and supported from the moment they arrive through the completion of their meal.
Responsibilities
- Deliver food professionally while maintaining safe food-handling and sanitation standards
- Maintain full knowledge of menu items, ingredients, allergens, and specialized diets
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized dining environment
- Support special events and assist other departments as needed.

Requirements
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and composure.
- Flexible availability for AM and PM shifts, including weekends.
- Strong teamwork, professionalism, and a hospitality-first mindset with excellent communication skills.
- Genuine interest in seasonal, ingredient-driven cuisine with a willingness to expand culinary and beverage knowledge.

Nice to have
- Minimum of 2+ years serving experience in a high-volume, service-driven restaurant environment
- upscale or chef-driven concepts preferred.
- Working knowledge of classic cocktails, foundational wine varietals, and beer styles
- fine-dining or craft beverage experience a plus.
Compensation
- The hourly wage for this position is $15.00 per hour with tips.
- Training wage during the orientation period is $17.00 per hour.
- This is a non-exempt, hourly position. In accordance with the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), you are eligible for overtime pay at one and a half times your regular rate for all hours worked over 40 in a single workweek.
