About the role
- Posting Date 05/05/26 Application Deadline Open Until Filled Pay Range Min - Mid - Max $35.10 - $42.30 - $49.50 Note: The pay range listed above reflects the FULL pay range for the position.
- Successful applicants will typically be compensated at a rate of $33.25/hr.
- Placement at a higher starting salary rate within the range may be considered depending on prior comparable, directly related law enforcement or corrections experience.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age at time of application.
- To be considered, such otherwise qualified individuals must be eligible to gain Arizona POST certification through Waiver Testing or successful completion of a basic academy.
- All candidates must possess, or have the ability to obtain by the time of hire, a valid Arizona driver's license.
- Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Attention to detail: Ability to attend to physical needs and human comfort and identify when inconsistencies in protocol exist.

- levels listed are based on candidates possessing a current Arizona POST certification.
- Out of state candidates may be able to waive a trainee academy through an Arizona POST waiver examination.
- However, if the waiver process is unsuccessful, candidates will be placed at the Trainee rate of $29.00
