About the role
- Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities.
- OR Experience: GL-04: Six months of General Experience and six months of Specialized Experience.
- Qualifying specialized experience includes nonprofessional nursing care work in a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other medical, nursing, or patient care facility, or in such work as that of a home health aide.
Requirements
- GL-05: Four year course of study above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with courses related to the occupation.
- Experience in appropriate donning and doffing of personal protective equipment necessary to protect staff and patient safety.
- GL-05: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.
- Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience in providing personal nursing care, such as providing pre- and post-operative care.
- Experience in caring for mentally ill and long-term patients, including observing, recording, and reporting change in their behavior.
- Experience assisting physicians and nurses with exams or treatments dealing with patient care, including turning and positioning patients, draping, maintaining sterile conditions and use of safety restraints.
- This experience must have equipped you with the qualifications to perform the major duties of this position as described above.
- You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level.
Compensation
- $44k-$62k
