About the role

Provide detailed rationale for architectural decisions to ensure all stakeholders understand and agree with the proposed solutions.
Technology Assessment: Evaluate and propose new technologies and assess the current technology environment to understand limitations and constraints, and facilitate the selection of appropriate technologies, tools, and platforms.
Data Movement and Accessibility: Plan data movement through systems, ensuring accessibility and compliance with data privacy laws and accessibility standards.

This position will be responsible for planning, building, maintaining, expanding, and implementing technical duties in support of Hanford's Enterprise Architecture initiatives.
Design and review data solutions to ensure alignment with business goals and technical standards.
Conduct comprehensive reviews of solution architectures against specified requirements, perform risk analysis, and develop mitigation strategies as needed.
Design data solutions which are compatible with various AI engines to support AI related functions.
Design solutions with robust security measures and data backup/recovery mechanisms to ensure business continuity.

Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role.
Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
Must have identification compliant with the Real ID Act at time of hire.
Must be able to obtain Department of Energy access badge.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Experience gathering and analyzing system requirements.
Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques.
Expertise with enterprise data management in SQL, Oracle, or other industry standard databases.
Experience with data visualization, data migration and data modeling.
Proven analytical skills.

Make decisions, solve problems, and exercise excellent judgment.
Work well under pressure and independently prioritize workload, while working on multiple projects.
Ability to research, organize and analyze technical information with particular attention to accuracy and detail.
Proficient using Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and industry-standard computer software and databases.
High degree of sensitivity regarding confidential information.
Ability to kneel, bend and twist at the waist on an occasional basis.
Ability to reach below shoulder height with regular frequency (desk position) and at or above shoulder height on occasion.
Physical Abilities
Ability to push, pull, carry and lift objects weighing up to 10 pounds on a regular basis, and greater weights on an occasional basis.
