About the role
- Job Overview AEVEX Aerospace is looking for a warehouse material handler that specializes in crating of finished product.
- This individual will be responsible for custom shipping crates, crate kits, and general palletizing of oversized equipment using established processes and procedures.
- This individual will be tasked with being accurate and making sure all crates and pallets that leave our facility will arrive in the same condition as when they left our facility.
Responsibilities
- AEVEX uses agile and customized approaches to rapidly define, develop, and deliver specialized solutions for airborne special mission needs for the U.S. Government, partner nations, and commercial businesses.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance, U.S. Citizenship required.
- Packs orders for domestic and international shipment as required for the transportation mode per company guidelines.
- Builds appropriate boxing/crating when and as required.
- The ability to complete multiple challenging tasks/projects within agreed time frames and with the appropriate level of critical thinking and quality.
- Knowledge of the safe operation of basic power tools, i.e. saws, drill motors air compressors.
- Basic math skills
- Basic carpentry skills and experience using hand and power tools as necessary
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
- Possess a valid in-state driver's license and possess an acceptable safe driving record
- Be able to operate a forklift and complete our internal forklift training program
- Current forklift certification required.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
