About the role

  • This job acts as a leader in the provision of patient care using the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses and Scope & Standards of Practice.
  • Effectively delegates, directs and assists licensed and ancillary team members.
  • This job description is a summary of the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and position.

Responsibilities

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.

Requirements

  • (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree
  • Required - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
  • Good organizational and time management skills and ability to be self-directed.
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgement.
  • Effectively uses the nursing process in the delivery of patient care.
  • Utilizes data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change in order to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
