About the role

  • Head Start employees have the opportunity to work with 384 children and their families every school year.
  • We have seven centers in five different cities throughout Winnebago, Calumet, Outagamie, and Shawano Counties.
  • Staff wellness is prioritized through available individual/group reflective practice, Practice Based Coaching, and wellness initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the safety and physical well-being of children at all times and in all environments
  • Engages in collaborative partnership building with children, staff, and parents to identify goals, strengths, necessary services, and other support
  • This position is expected to collaborate with full-time teachers and teacher assistants to support children's school readiness.
  • They will also assist with center responsibilities to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Child Development Associate (CDA) training and support is provided may lead to certification and possible advancement in our program.

Requirements

  • Ability to take written and verbal instruction

  • Head Start supports staff to complete required coursework to meet requirements.

Compensation

  • Substitute Teachers - $15.
  • 50 - $ 20.24 per hour
