Requirements

  • The qualified candidate must have at least three (3) or more years of responsible experience in a moderately complex office or business setting involving the processing of financial, administrative, or legal documents.

Compensation

  • We pay 95% to 99% of medical insurance premiums for full-time employees [OR up to 99% of medical insurance premiums for part-time employees], including mental health coverage.
  • The hourly equivalent for this position is $26.19 - $40.63. [OR the annual salary for this position is $54,464 - $84,501.]
  • OJD will pay you a 5% allowance for bilingual skills (includes ASL) if you can pass a skills test and are assigned to use those skills on the job!
  • In this job profile, we offer candidates new to OJD up to the fourth step of the salary range, depending on experience. You are potentially eligible for a 5% annual increase.

  • The Multnomah County Circuit Court is hiring a High-Volume Case Processing Clerk (Court Operations Associate).
  • In this role…
  • You will work with a variety of case types, including landlord tenant, criminal, and small claims.
  • You will accept and record documents filed with the court in each of these case types.
  • This will include checking for accuracy and completeness; preparing, recording, processing motions, orders, and judgments for the court; as well as scheduling or organizing court appearances.
  • These duties are performed daily within strict timelines.
  • You will review complex case files for upcoming proceedings, prepare necessary forms, and perform data entry using the court's electronic system.
  • You will also coordinate with judges, litigants, and attorneys in using the court system and inform them of court procedures and policies.
  • Lastly, you will be expected to answer telephone inquiries and correspondence related to court procedure and case status.
