About the role
- The Senior Electrical Engineer will work with the construction team in the design and construction of mission- critical data center environments. Responsible for coordination of electrical designs with consulting team(s) and supporting electrical subcontractors during construction. Support the design efforts to create and implement building masterplans for
- Aid in creation of electrical standards including master specifications for data center
Responsibilities
- Work with design consultants and operations teams to plan and implement new infrastructure and tenant
- Provide engineering support for electrical contractors during construction
- Provide engineering/troubleshooting support for operation
- Implement energy efficiency strategies for electrical systems
- Provide support for commissioning process
- Utilize building EPMS to track and report building loading and PUE
- Travel to perform factory witness testing for major equipment purchases as needed
- 5-7 years' experience in critical systems design & engineering
- Familiar with EPMS architectural and design
- The Senior Electrical Engineer will work with the construction team in the design and construction of mission- critical data center environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience with Electrical Systems Design and Installation (MV Switchgear, Distribution equipment, diesel generator, UPS, etc).
- Mission Critical Data Center or other related design experience required.
- Excellent oral and written communication, including proficiency in both technical and business writing, is required.
- Ability to work in both Boston and Lowell facilities.
Nice to have
- PE license preferred
