About the role

  • USNH Employees should apply within Workday through the Jobs Hub app The adjunct will teach POLT 403.02 US in World Affairs for the Political Science and International Affairs Department to approximately 60 undergraduate students.
  • Office Hours (20%) - Offering 1-2 hours per week of office hours for students to meet outside of class time.
  • ABD or PhD in Political Science or a related discipline.

Requirements

  • Master's degree and 2 years of professional experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Candidate must be able to teach U.S. Foreign Policy from WWII to the present and possess a broader understanding of global politics from within that time frame.
  • Candidate must be comfortable interacting with students of varying backgrounds and abilities, and be able to provide appropriate guidance and support regarding coursework.

Nice to have

  • ABD or PhD in Political Science or one of the social sciences.
  • Teaching certification and/or experience, particularly advanced high school or college students.
