About the role

  • Provides meaningful internal and external business analytics, including profitability analysis, report development and maintenance, and freight optimization studies.
  • This position will focus on general analytical problem solving with a focus on continuous improvement, freight cost and service optimization.
  • Assists the Pricing Manager with additional tasks outside of essential duties.

Responsibilities

  • The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to develop accurate demand forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and other relevant factors.
  • Work with internal teams to develop company pricing strategies
  • Monitor Spotbot performance and collaborate with internal and external to resolve any technical issues
  • Design dashboards for the visualization of customer freight data in the PowerBI.
  • Engages and interacts with business users to identify requirements and develop documents for the reporting needs of the business; engages with business users to troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues;
  • Support the methodology for creating baseline pricing. Implements standard deviations for price points developed from unbiased research using a mix of strategies that assess costs, competitors, market positions and overall value.
  • Maintain detailed records of completed pricing as well as customer agreements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights for enhancing logistics strategies.
  • Support Sales through pricing effectively and efficiently

Requirements

  • Required: High School diploma or equivalent
  • This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, bending or stooping as necessary.
  • This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Skills

  • Required: 4+ years of experience in transportation logistics operations
  • Advanced computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerBi, Adobe, customer web sites)
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written
  • Strong analytical capabilities and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working independently and making sound decisions under demanding time constraints
  • Experience performing under heavy demands while maintaining exceptional quality
  • Experience performing detail-oriented tasks
  • Ability to recognize and correct discrepancies
  • Effective multi-tasking
  • Discretion in handling confidential material
