Responsibilities
- Assisting with/conducting the daily operations and maintenance of all building related systems including the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems and general maintenance requirements for the buildings
- Working to improve energy efficiency utilizing building software and providing ideas for energy savings while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Complying with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits

- The Engineer is responsible for the operation and maintenance of all building equipment and systems as well as performance of preventative and unscheduled maintenance; in accordance with Oxford guidelines.
- Work in partnership with property management and support teams (i.e. Accounting, Customer Service, Administration, Leasing, Engineering, Construction and HR) and encourage all vendors and staff to do the same.
Requirements
- may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority/emergency situations (including overtime type assignments)
- Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and safely install rigging/lifting devices
- Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
- The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Applicants must have a valid NYC Refrigeration Engineer License.

- Completing all required Oxford Safety Training as scheduled annually
- May be only maintenance staff member on duty during certain shifts; may be required to work extended periods of time without relief when responding to priority/emergency situations (including overtime type assignments)
Nice to have
- Further appropriate license/permit for trade is a plus, i.e. Journeyman or Master Electrician License, City Licenses, Operators License, Steam Engineers License, etc.
Compensation
- As required by New York City law, OMERS & Oxford provides a reasonable range of base salary for each role that is advertised in New York City.
- The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.
- The base salary that is ultimately offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill set.
