Responsibilities

  • Perform additional skills such as EKG's, dressing changes, set up for and assist provider with procedures and examinations, and administer approved medications per UAMS policy.

Requirements

  • Performs patient registration/check-out, answer telephones, and other office administration duties as required.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an accredited program.
  • Ability to perform point-of-care testing, draw and collect blood specimens, and prepare for laboratory processing.

Nice to have

  • A minimum of 1 year phlebotomy and MA experience
  • Two years of experience in an ambulatory care setting
  • BLS (CPR) Certification.
