About the role
- This is a hands-on, floor-present leadership role reporting directly to the Fabrication Manufacturing Production Manager.
- The permanent hours for this role are Monday - Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support production welding operations
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of fabrication technicians, CNC operators, and setup personnel.
- Drive onboarding, cross-training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Engineering to ensure all fabricated components meet tight tolerances, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.
- As our Fabrication Production Supervisor, you will be working closely with our Fabrication manager to design its culture, structure, and operational workflow.
- You will be fully responsible for pioneering our swing shift operations to support Torus's Flywheel Energy Storage Systems (FESS) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Requirements
- you have deep, practical roots in high-precision metal fabrication, laser cutting, and forming environments.
- You know the capabilities and nuances of advanced CNC machinery.
- You are ready to stand side-by-side with your team to solve technical issues and keep the line moving.
- Shift flexibility may be required to support production demands.
- Must be capable of standing, bending, and executing repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English required.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and basic digital workspaces (Google Workspace/MS Office).
Skills
- Systems: Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) and basic digital workspaces (Google Workspace/MS Office).
- Safety: Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and manufacturing safety best practices.
- Preferred Experience Direct programming, setup, or operational experience with BLM Group or Prima Power machinery.
- Experience in energy storage, heavy industrial equipment, automotive, or aerospace manufacturing.
- Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or similar continuous improvement certifications.
- A time to step back, think strategically, and work on the business together.

Compensation
- $100k-$260k
