About the role

  • The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for the intake of clients and preparing them to be seen by the Medical Practitioners.
  • The Certified Medical Assistant works under the supervision of the site Practice Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Nice to have

  • Spanish language fluency is preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Safe medication administration knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to help patients feel welcome.
  • Ability to be punctual and dependable.
  • Knowledge of infection control and bloodborne pathogen processes.
  • Ability to work efficiently and comfortably with other medical clinic employees.
  • Knowledge and use of supplies and medical equipment.
  • Skills in the use of medical instruments and supplies.
  • Willingness to learn new tasks consistent with MA training.
  • Culturally competent; able to work with a diverse workforce and client population.
  • Evidence of current medication administration knowledge and skills.
