About the role

  • This is a full-time, 10-month faculty position with teaching, service, and professional development responsibilities.
  • The Department has state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories in the brand-new Education and Health Sciences Center which opened in the Fall of 2023.
  • Frostburg State University has a rich history of educating sports medicine professionals through its nationally recognized athletic training program over the past 47 years.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and develop curriculum in area of specialty/expertise.

Requirements

  • Earned doctorate degree (or ABD) in sports medicine or related field from a regionally accredited university.
  • Contemporary expertise in the field of athletic training.
  • Experience in mentoring student research.
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.
  • If selected candidate is ABD, they will be hired at the rank of Instructor, with the requirement that the candidate finish the doctoral degree within the first year of employment.
  • Prior experience with the clinical supervision of athletic training students
  • Prior experience with CAATE accreditation process

Compensation

  • Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications; University System of Maryland benefits package included.
