About the role
- Open-Rank Professor of Athletic Training and Coordinator of Clinical Education
- This is a full-time, 10-month faculty position with teaching, service, and professional development responsibilities.
- The Department has state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories in the brand-new Education and Health Sciences Center which opened in the Fall of 2023.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and develop curriculum in area of specialty/expertise.
Requirements
- Earned doctorate degree (or ABD) in sports medicine or related field from a regionally accredited university.
- Contemporary expertise in the field of athletic training.
- Experience in mentoring student research.
- All qualifications must be met by the time of the appointment.
- If selected candidate is ABD, they will be hired at the rank of Instructor, with the requirement that the candidate finish the doctoral degree within the first year of employment.
- Prior experience with the clinical supervision of athletic training students
- Prior experience with CAATE accreditation process
