Responsibilities

Inbound Logistics Planning and Optimization: Analyze transportation and logistics data to support the development of logistics concepts for inbound materials from our suppliers worldwide.
Transportation Contract Management: Prepare, conduct, and implement logistics RFx activities.
That includes writing and aligning the necessary documents like RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, and SOWs.
Freight Cost Auditing: Develop, align and implement processes for freight cost auditing.
Performance Metrics and Reporting: Develop and maintain transportation performance reports and dashboards.
Analyze logistics KPIs and communicate findings to support operational decision-making.
Continuous Improvement: Implement strategies for continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and compliance across all processes.
Corresponding to your individual skills, you may be asked to perform appropriate tasks in logistics planning that are not explicitly included in this job posting.
3+ years of proven professional experience in structuring, analyzing, and developing a multimodal transportation network solution, preferably at a North American Automotive OEM.
Ability to independently work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements

Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.
To be considered for career opportunities at Scout Motors, applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, or a related field.
An equivalent amount of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Nice to have

Professional experience with IT systems for truck transport routing and scheduling as well as inventory management and reporting, preferably SAP transportation management is a plus.
Practical experience with freight cost auditing is a plus.
Professional experience with data analytics and visualization using BI tools like PowerBI is a plus.
Experience working with 3PLs, 4PLs, and dedicated/asset-based transportation and warehouse service providers as well as knowledge of U.S. DOT regulations and transportation industry is a plus.

Compensation

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program.
Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience.
The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $70,000.00 - $85,000.00
