About the role

  • Purpose within the Organization The purpose of this position is to assist the Intramural Manager and Intramural Coordinator in working the various programs offered within Intramural Sports.
  • Related to Purpose: Your primary goal will be to generate excitement, increase participation, and promote the events and activities within the intramural sports program.
  • Stay Updated: - Keep yourself informed about current trends, social media algorithms, and best practices in content creation and sports marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Equipment - Students will use their own equipment (camera, lens, etc.), with the Intramural Sports program providing minimal editing software.
  • Develop high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for various platforms, such as social media, websites, blogs, and newsletters.
  • Create engaging posts, articles, videos, graphics, and other media to showcase upcoming events, game highlights, player spotlights, and general sports-related content.
  • Create post-event content, including summaries, highlights, and behind-the-scenes stories.
  • Collaborate with other campus organizations, student clubs, and local businesses to cross-promote intramural sports events and activities.
  • Build partnerships with relevant influencers or sports personalities to amplify the reach of your content.
  • Maintain open communication with the intramural sports program coordinators, managers, and participants to stay informed about upcoming events and updates.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience as a Content Creator, or similar role.
  • Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program.
  • Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student.
  • You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
  • Possess good leadership skills.
  • Genuine interest in serving students.
  • Available to work afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
