About the role
- This role is responsible for ensuring uninterrupted material flow, from mill to production, by balancing demand forecasting, inventory management, and supplier partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with domestic and offshore mills, ensuring quality, reliability, and scalability
- Negotiate pricing, capacity, lead times, and MOQs to support margin and production goals
- Partner with product development and technical teams on fabric approvals and performance standards
- Develop and manage raw material forecasts based on demand plans, sales trends, and production schedules
- Own fabric capacity planning with mills to support both replenishment and new production needs and minimize stockouts
- Partner closely with production, planning, and logistics teams to align material flow with factory schedules
- Drive replenishment strategies for high-volume basics (e.g., jersey, fleece, rib)
Requirements
- 4-7+ years of experience in fabric sourcing, raw materials planning, or apparel supply chain roles
- Strong understanding of textile construction, lead times, and sourcing processes
- Experience managing high-volume replenishment programs
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP/PLM systems (e.g., FDM4, Anaplan, Centric, etc.)
- Knowledge of global sourcing and logistics timelines
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Textiles, Fashion, or related field (preferred but not required)
- Experience in apparel or activewear manufacturing preferred
Compensation
- The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$120,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position.
