Responsibilities

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Computer experience in corporate standard software (Microsoft Office) and department specific software to data search and entry and to create and modify word processed documents.
  • As a Truck Driver with Norfolk County's Roads Department, you'll help maintain and repair roads, drainage systems, signs, and other public infrastructure while operating trucks and specialized equipment year-round.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario Class DZ driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle including the ability to provide a drivers abstract when requested during the recruitment process.
  • Conduct road way and road allowance inspections as required.
  • Undertakes the setup and teardown of traffic control plan measures on job sites and performs flag person/pilot truck operations as required.
  • Completes tree trimming and removal work of roadside trees where required.
  • Maintenance of vegetation around guide rail and guide cable systems as well as other fixtures in the road allowance as required.

Compensation

  • $27k-$34k
