About the role
- This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel.
- However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site four days per week.
Responsibilities
- Leads the development and launch of new innovative multi-product offerings as well as auxiliary/enhanced features/services for existing products.
- Collaborates with relevant control partners (to include Legal, Compliance, and Risk Management) to ensure product offerings are designed and implemented in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Responsible for the development and finalization of strategic recommendations to launch new products to include digital through the evaluation and decision to buy/build or ally for the line of business for current and future members.
- Influences and drives decisions with key stakeholders throughout the Enterprise to execute on the USAA mission and further develop the product.
- Develops and monitors oversight of post-launch maintenance and underwriting of 'new in market' products based on product performance, member needs and competitive changes in the market including but not limited to product rules, rates, and forms.
- Responsible for functional resources to support formulation of product strategy.
- Partners with sales to ensure new products offering are developed to meet current and future member needs across all distribution channels (e.g.,.com, mobile, contact center).
- Builds, develops, and leads a team of individual contributors and managers through ongoing execution of recruiting, development, retention, coaching and support, performance management, and managerial activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, Statistics
- 10 years of relevant industry experience in Operations, Marketing, Actuary, or Underwriting, including direct product management experience or relevant military experience.
- Strong communication and executive storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Experience leading large‑scale enterprise initiatives and strategic planning.
- Expert knowledge of PDLC, product regulations, and risk/compliance requirements.
- Proven strength in quantitative analysis, strategic planning, and data‑driven decision‑making, with the ability to translate insights into actionable product strategies.
- Track record of leading long‑term business performance, driving sustained product growth, competitive differentiation, and operational excellence.
- Expertise in forecasting, securing, and stewarding funding for large‑scale strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise priorities and financial objectives.

Compensation
- USAA has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing ranges to ensure we remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range based on your experience and market data of the position.
- Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance and at the discretion of the USAA Board of Directors.

- Long Term Incentive Plan: Cash payment for Executive level roles only, representing a cash payment which is both time and performance based.
