- We're a dynamic, independent studio of over 1200 passionate employees, with studios in Toronto (Behaviour Toronto), Rotterdam (Behaviour Rotterdam) and in the UK (Behaviour UK-North & South).
- Our day to day revolves around two core business focuses: Services and Original Games.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new server features, while enhancing the existing codebase.
- Collaborate closely with other programmers to deliver gameplay-compliant server services.
- Create and execute functional and load testing strategies.
- Continuously optimize code for a live, high-availability multiplayer experience.
- From early conception to live deployment, you'll architect, optimize, and maintain backend systems that power both new and evolving features, delivering seamless, reliable gameplay experiences at a global scale.
Requirements
- Advanced expertise with REST and WebSocket communication protocols.
- Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, MongoDB, MySQL.
Nice to have
- 9+ ans d'expérience en développement backend, avec une compréhension approfondie de la conception de systèmes évolutifs;
- Expérience démontrée dans la création d'applications serveur haute performance avec TypeScript et Node.js;
- Expertise avancée des protocoles de communication REST et WebSocket;
- Expérience pratique avec des bases de données relationnelles et NoSQL comme DynamoDB, MongoDB, MySQL;
- Solide maîtrise de la modélisation de données orientée performance et de la maintenabilité backend;
- Compétences en tests de charge à l'aide de générateurs de charge distribués;
- Analyse (profiling) et optimisation des systèmes backend à travers les couches réseau, CPU, mémoire et I/O.
