About the role
- Plan, identify and assign the necessary resources to accomplish all project specific quality activities.
- Coordinate and prioritize the execution of work of direct reports.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop estimates for Quality Support man-hours, subcontract inspection services and cost.
- Manage the process to control nonconformances and lead the root-cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions on critical nonconformances.
- Support the Supplier qualification process by auditing their quality management systems and assessing their fabrication capabilities.
- Support the company's Quality Management System and attainment of the company's ISO 9001 certification.
- Manage the company's internal audit program Facilitate and lead improvement initiatives within the department and across other functional areas.
- Background in welding and inspection ISO 9001 Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor training/certification - preferred
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent experience Working knowledge of AWS standards, and ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Sections I, V, VIII, and IX.
- B31.1, and B31.3 10 years of experience working in Quality Assurance and/or Quality Control positions in structural, auxiliary equipment, boiler, and pressure vessel fabrication.
