About the role

  • By delivering everyday flight for everyone, we're making it possible to spend less time getting there and more time being there.
  • In this role you will be working closely with the Human Factors team, UX/UI, Autonomy Engineers, Software Engineers, Systems Engineers, Flight Test and Certification experts.

Responsibilities

  • You will collaborate with various teams to understand what tasks are allocated to the human operator and why.
  • You will develop and own Wisk's task analysis and leverage it to inform UI design decisions and study plans.
  • You will help develop a strategy for identifying most challenging scenarios, from an HF standpoint, for evaluation and testing purposes.
  • You will plan and lead human factors evaluations from definition of goals and research questions through data analysis and recommendations to changes in system requirements.
  • You will support all certification activities for Wisk's Gen 6 aircraft and ground control station.

Requirements

  • 8 years of relevant work experience.
  • Knowledge of cognitive ergonomics: cognition, perception and decision making.
  • Experience in measuring workload and human performance using both subjective scales and physiological data.
  • Knowledge of aerospace, including aircraft systems, flight operations, and regulatory environment.
  • Experience in designing qualitative and quantitative experiments.
  • Experience preparing data sets for statistical analysis using tools such as SPSS, Stata, etc.
  • The goal of a Human Factors Specialist at Wisk is to drive and manage the work required to demonstrate safe and efficient supervision of multiple aircraft by a single human.
