Responsibilities
- You will roll up your sleeves on researching, developing, and testing new products, vendor approvals, and communicating with overseas factories.
- We also want someone to obsessively manage project communication and details.
- Support the VP of Product Development in leading the product creation process from inception to production, ensuring all milestones are met.
- Product research and strategy: support ideation, scoping, and strategy for new products through market, competitor, and product research.
- Technical drawing(s) and specification creation: create technical specifications for all products to source, including component construction, fabrication and finished weights, component and product measurements, sewing/stitch and SPI detail, durometer, ILD, labeling (including federal and state legal requirements), packaging, and packing.
- Pricing and supplier negotiations: understanding of component costs, CMT, tariff, production timing, overseas transit and domestic shipping cost and timing, to conduct price and production negotiations, as well as negotiating and managing MOQs and lead times.
- Manage, review, and maintain an organized library of all Pre-Production (PP) and Top of Production (TOP) samples.
- Develop and manage daily communication and relationships with existing and potential vendors and manufacturers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date WIP (Work in Progress) tracking, maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials), and create and oversee Tech Packs.
- Drive continuous improvement efforts for products, pricing, and vendor relations.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience managing the physical product lifecycle for a consumer brand, retailer, or sourcing company, with a mandatory background in textiles, softlines, or home goods
- Ability to lift 30 lbs. and use a stepstool or ladder.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator a plus.

Compensation
- $55-75k USD annual salary - depending on experience
