About the role
- This role involves vendor management, contract negotiations, supply chain optimization, and coordination with engineering, logistics, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution from pre-PO to final delivery.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize costs, quality, and lead times for equipment packages.
- Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from RFQs, vendor selection, and negotiations to contract finalization and purchase order issuance.
- Work closely with legal and finance teams to manage contract terms, liabilities, and payment conditions.
- Track and manage vendor payment milestones, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key vendors and suppliers.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to manage technical clarifications and design changes with vendors.
- Develop and oversee logistics strategies to ensure timely transportation, customs clearance, and warehousing of equipment.
- Work with logistics providers to optimize freight costs and delivery efficiency.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential vendor delays or quality issues.
Requirements
- Ensure that all procured equipment meets required technical specifications and quality standards.
Skills
- Strong contract negotiation and vendor management expertise.
- Deep understanding of supply chain operations, logistics, and procurement best practices.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, incoterms, and customs compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and supply chain tracking tools.
- Experience in managing large-scale procurement contracts and vendor negotiations.
