About the role
- US Pet Health Veterinary District Sales Manager
- In this role, your leadership will be critical to the success of Elanco as the Pet Health organization embarks on a historic launch period.
- Achieve specified District sales objectives across all product categories while managing and utilizing resources to accomplish planned objectives.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and select a high-performing team of representatives to represent Elanco's companion animal products and direct strategic partner efforts.
- Develop and execute strategic business plans for corporate veterinary account headquarters and strategic partners within the district's defined geography.
- Implement marketing plans through representatives to key veterinary hospitals and across all channel partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma / GED with equivalent level of experience
- What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
- Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.

- Experience with performance management, succession planning, and channel partner development.
Skills

- In-depth knowledge of companion animal veterinary products and market landscape.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to make decisions within the context of uncertainty and ambiguity.
- Advanced degree in business or experience as a sales trainer.

- Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $114,600 to $197,700 depending partly on the successful candidate's qualifications, including education and experience.
- Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance).
- Minimum of at least 5 years animal health sales experience and/or previous experience managing a sales team
