About the role
- As a Sr Manager of Trade Compliance, you will be responsible for performing management oversight of the staff responsible for the development, implementation and execution of Insits import/export compliance program.

Responsibilities
- Manages staff responsible for the implementation and execution of the company import/export compliance program
- Establishes, maintains and improves compliance program guidance, processes/procedures, internal controls, systems, and monitoring activities
- Manages day-to-day trade compliance operations, to include preparation, submission and review of export/import licenses, permits and agreements (e.g., Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements)
- Collaborates across the enterprise to execute departmental and cross-functional strategies, goals, objectives
- Establishes cross-functional partnerships and maintains strong and effective stakeholder working relationships in order to achieve business goals.
- Manages day-to-day trade compliance operations, to include preparation, submission and review of export/import licenses, permits and agreements (e.g., Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements); commodity jurisdiction and classification determinations; administration of export and import transactions; and technology release plans
- Abil to identify and understand risks, issues, problems, and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions; use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints, and probable consequences
- Abil to anticipate export and import licensing requirements in order to build export and import strategies that ensure financial objectives can be met
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading medium to large, and moderately complex, organizations.
- Knowledge of relevant government agencies and processes as well as current issues (e.g., governmental, international, industrial) impacting functional responsibilities
- Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the organization, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.
- This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans and anticipate future events
Nice to have
- 5+ years of experience managing a trade compliance team a strong plus.
