About the role

  • Position Overview The Director of Internal Medicine will serve as the clinical and operational leader for Aizer Health's Internal Medicine Department.
  • This role combines direct patient care, and leadership responsibilities, including provider supervision, quality oversight, and program development.
  • The Director will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based primary care for patients 18 years of age and older and across all conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of primary care providers, including performance evaluations, onboarding, and clinical development.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on specialty services and community outreach programs.
  • Develop and implement clinical protocols, best practices, and evidence-based guidelines with a special focus on preventative care.
  • Partner with nursing, care coordination, and administrative teams to optimize patient access and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.

Requirements

  • DEA license or ability to obtain post hire.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine.
  • Active New York State license (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and positive approach to teamwork
