About the role

  • Triage phone calls with courtesy and promptness and refer to a pharmacist when applicable.
  • Distributes drugs, performing all usual technical functions associated with the drug distribution system.

Responsibilities

  • Completes projects and/or activities, which meet departmental criteria to maintain and advance professional competency based on divisional guidelines.
  • Informed by basic research done at our Sloan Kettering Institute, scientists across MSK collaborate to conduct innovative translational and clinical research that is driving a revolution in our understanding of cancer as a disease and improving the ability to prevent, diagnose, and treat it.

Requirements

  • PTCB or NHA Technician Certification (CPhT) required.

Nice to have

  • HS Diploma/GED with 2+ years of clinic/hospital experience preferred.
  • Specialty pharmacy experience preferred.

The Pharmacy Department has approximately 600 employees with 400 pharmacists servicing patients in 40 pharmacy satellites, including inpatient unit-based satellites in all oncological specialties.
