About the role
- There are potential opportunities for remote, synchronous course delivery.
- This position is primary responsibility is teaching.
- It is expected that the candidate contributes to the CIDA accreditation process including archiving student work.
Responsibilities
- This adjunct position is in the field of interior design, with opportunities for teaching undergraduate and graduate students.
- Faculty for the program will be expected to work with faculty from other departments and industry partners to explore expanded applications for interior design.
Requirements
- A Master's degree or PhD is required.
- CIDA/FIDER accredited interior design degree, or NAAB accredited architecture degree
- A successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to effectively and collaboratively work on a team
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience with Human-Centered design
- Experience with immersive technologies
- Experience with graphic design and associated software and applying them to interior design
- In this role, you are expected to participate in departmental meetings and university trainings for adjunct faculty.
- Active National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) certification
- Professional portfolio
- Experience with Healthcare design
