About the role

- As a Warehouse Associate, you will be responsible for picking, packing, and shipping customer orders as well as counting, verifying, receiving, and putting away incoming vendor material and customer returns.
- A high attention to detail will ensure exceptional levels of customer service and satisfaction, while working in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Drive the Emco truck, operating safely and in compliance with company policy, applicable traffic laws and provincial Ministry of Transportation legislation.
- Understand the shipping documents, including WHMIS that are associated with the material for each delivery
- Provide sales leads by noting prospective customers discovered in the course of making deliveries.
- Print and verify the computer receiving documents and enter material received into the computer system
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety by removing empty cartons, metal banding, pallets, and other debris
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Profit Centre Manager
- Able to develop comprehensive product knowledge
Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent; College and/or University degree an asset
- A minimum of 1 year of driving experience with a valid G license, clean driving record; DZ license an asset
Skills
- Experience using Word, Excel, Microsoft Teams and Outlook
