About the role
- PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure
- development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada's largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.
Responsibilities
- Maintain constant site presence to monitor progress, resolve issues, and uphold PACT and GTAA requirements.
- Lead daily safety briefings, enforce safety protocols, and conduct site inspections.
- Manage site logistics including laydown, access, hoarding, equipment movement, and material delivery.
- Collaborate with the Construction Manager to maintain 2-week and 6-week lookaheads and support schedule adherence.
- Support completion of inspections, testing, checklists, and field documentation.
- Maintain accurate daily site reports, manpower logs, progress photos, and issue tracking.
- Support field-level responses to RFIs, NCRs, and technical issues.
- Support execution of work within restricted access and operationally sensitive environments, including phased work, shutdowns, and overnight or off-hour work windows.
- Coordinate with airport authorities, operations teams, security personnel, and project stakeholders to maintain uninterrupted airport functionality
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work fronts simultaneously.
Requirements
- The position will be based at our office in Mississauga, Ontario, with visits to the Airport site as required.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, field coordination, and subcontractor management.
- Ability to work nights, weekends, or restricted work windows as required by airport operations.

- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Familiarity with GTAA procedures, airport stakeholder coordination, or RAIC-controlled environments is considered an advantage.
Nice to have
- The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong site presence, proactively resolving field issues, and driving construction execution in a live airport environment.
- Previous airport construction experience within active operational environments is strongly preferred.
