About the role

  • The Material Handler is responsible for supporting internal and external customers through accurate receiving, stocking, delivery, and shipment of materials.
  • Licensed and can operate all material handling equipment (i.e. Stand-up, Sit-down, Combi, Lancer, Tugger) at assigned Operations facility.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with safety procedures, rules, and proper 6S standards; use best practices to follow all safe procedures in operation of various material support equipment in assigned Operations facility.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and proper 6S standards; follow all safe procedures and practices in assembling and testing of all models in your job function.
  • In addition, the Material Handler responsible for operating all material support equipment and performing all material support functions (i.e. receiving, running lines, and shipping) in assigned Operations facility.

Requirements

  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to an ever-changing environment and processes.
  • Must have outstanding transaction discipline - being diligent with quantity accuracy, making effective changes within JDE (Dodge Center Only).
  • Rectify inventory discrepancies, monitor KANBAN cards, previous experience with ERP systems, and JDE (Dodge Center Only).
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to become forklift certified to operate a forklift/tugger to receive and deliver parts safely and efficiently.
  • Effective in working cross-functionally with various internal customer.
  • Two (2) or more years of applicable position experience.

  • Read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Read, analyze and interpret business manuals, technical procedures and/or government regulations.
  • Requires minimal decision-making responsibility.
  • Complexity, Judgment and Problem Solving:
  • Work of a relatively routine nature.
  • Requires the ability to understand the follow instructions.
  • Frequent: Standing, Walking/Running, Sitting, Reaching, Hearing, Talking, Visual, Typing;
  • Occasional: Work Alone, Frequent Task Changes, Tedious/Exacting Work, Dust, Temperature Extremes, Loud Noises.
  • Infrequent overtime, weekend, or shift rotation.
  • Decision-Making: Requires minimal decision-making responsibility.
  • Complexity, Judgment and Problem Solving: Work of a relatively routine nature. Requires the ability to understand the follow instructions.

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $20 - 26.52
