About the role
- This position reports to the Production Controls and Logistics (PC&L) group.
- The schedule for this role is 12 hours Day 6:00am-6:30pm.
- One week you would work 3 nights and the next week you would work 4 nights.
Requirements
- Ability to work from heights.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Wear all PPE (including electrical PPE) as required and follow box cutting safety protocols.
- Support 5S/Housekeeping activities as required.
- High School diploma/GED or basic skills assessment required.
Nice to have
- 6 months experience in automotive manufacturing material handling/specialist role required including utilizing lean concepts.
- 6 months battery material movement preferred.
- 1-3 years' experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment
- 6 months of experience in SAP/ERP systems preferred.
- Familiarity with key performance indicators of a logistics department
- Proven track record of excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Develop effective relationships across all departments and teams.
