About the role
- This role ensures the safe, efficient, and precise delivery of heavy civil tasks such as grade control, formwork, rebar placement, structural pours, and critical lifts.
- The Heavy Civil Foreman is a hands-on leader responsible for driving quality, safety, and productivity in challenging civil infrastructure projects.
- Provide coaching, training, and daily direction to labor and trades personnel to maximize performance and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor crews in the execution of bridge-building and concrete structure activities, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to design specifications.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, safety logs, and production records.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to maintain smooth workflow and timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of direct bridge and heavy civil construction experience.
- Experience with DOT specifications, structural concrete work, and quality control requirements for bridges and civil infrastructure.
- Willingness to travel as required for projects.
Nice to have
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Carpentry or Civil Trade School Certificate preferred.
- Proficiency with construction software such as B2W and Procore is a plus.
