About The Corning Museum of Glass The Corning Museum of Glass (CMoG) was established in 1951 by Corning Glass Works (now Corning Incorporated) as a gift to the nation commemorating the company's 100th anniversary.
CMoG is an independent not-for-profit museum dedicated to exploring a single material: glass.

Create Exceptional Glassmaking Experiences Guide individuals and groups through hands-on glassmaking activities, including sandblasting, engraving, fused glass projects, and other creative experiences.
Teach or assist with a variety of Make Your Own Glass programs and workshops.
Support public programs, social events, and special activities hosted by The Studio.
Support Studio Operations Process glass projects from creation through completion, including kiln operation, packaging, labeling, shipping, and pickup preparation.
Open and close the Make Your Own Glass Workshop as needed.
Promote Safety and Excellence Maintain a safe working environment and follow all Museum safety policies and procedures.
Support new program development and continuous improvement efforts.
Collaborate with artists, instructors, studio users, guests, donors, and fellow team members to deliver outstanding experiences.

Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to move about, operate/use equipment, communicate, detect/distinguish, and reach.
The employee is occasionally required to remain in a stationary position, ascend/descend, detect/distinguish (impaired olfactory sense is potentially problematic for workplace safety).
The employee is frequently required to move/transport up to 30 pounds.
The employee is infrequently required to move/transport up to 50 pounds.

Experience in arts, education, hospitality, retail, or hands-on technical environments is a plus.
