About the role
- The Lead Social Worker will work with older adults aged 62 years old and older at the Park 79 location, which offers affordable housing administered by HPD through the Senior Affordable Rental Apartments Program.
- The program provides case management services, information and referral services, supportive counseling, housing assistance and maintenance services, group work, community building activities, and crisis intervention for clients and their families.
- The Lead Social Worker is responsible for reporting to funders and stakeholders, maintaining collaboration with the Property Management team, overseeing a caseload of clients, conducting detailed assessments to determine client needs and eligibility for benefits and services, and engaging with clients to develop service plans and address emergent needs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee staff scheduling and ensure staff maintain a presence at the residence during business hours.
- Perform other related tasks as requested or assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work or related field of study, or commensurate experience equaling a minimum of four years' experience in the human services sector, required.
- Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Office.
- Ability to provide accurate and timely documentation required.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and appropriately with other team members, community agencies, and clients with diverse opinions, values, characteristics, and cultures.
- Master's degree in social work or related field of study, or commensurate experience equaling a minimum of four years' experience in the human services sector, required. LMSWor LCSW strongly preferred with at least 2 years' relevant experience in social service.
- Time management skills to coordinate multiple responsibilities and services.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in both a home and office environment.
- Maintain client and agency confidentiality.
- Excellent interpersonal, public speaking, and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and appropriately with other team members, community agencies, and clients with diverse opinions, values, characteristics, and cultures.
- Schedule:
- Project FIND participates in E-Verify, which confirms employment authorization through an electronic database maintained by the Social Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security. The E-Verify process is completed in conjunction with the Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification. E-Verify is not used as a tool to pre-screen candidates.
Nice to have
- LMSWor LCSW strongly preferred with at least 2 years' relevant experience in social service.
- Experience working with older adult populations and families preferred.
- Bilingual Chinese or Spanish language fluency preferred.
