About the role

As a Driver Manager, you will be accountable for the overall productivity and performance of your assigned drivers and tractors.
This will be accomplished through ongoing review of key performance indicators, followed by active participation in strategies to positively affect results.
Shift: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00 ET.

Lead, coach, and support an assigned fleet of drivers and 60-75 tractors to achieve operational, safety, and performance objectives.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with drivers through regular communication, coaching, and performance discussions.
Manage driver performance in accordance with company policies, procedures, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with Dispatch, Planning, Maintenance, Driver Services, and other departments to optimize fleet performance and driver satisfaction.
Support driver retention efforts by proactively addressing concerns, fostering engagement, and promoting a positive driver experience.

Experience in the transportation, logistics, or trucking industry is required.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to effectively prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced operational environment.
Strong organizational skills with a clear sense of urgency about planning and executing work.
Strong customer service mindset with the ability to balance driver needs and business objectives.
Strong decision-making skills with the ability to assess situations quickly and take appropriate action.
Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), dispatch software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other fleet management technologies.
