Responsibilities

  • Perform PBMC isolation, cryopreservation, and tissue processing procedures (training provided).
  • Perform cell counts and viability assessments using automated cell counter.
  • Maintain equipment (centrifuges, biosafety cabinet, cell counter) and flag maintenance needs.
  • Follow all SOPs, document deviations, and maintain accurate batch records.
  • Onyx is building a virtual immune system for faster and safer development of precision medicines.
  • Join us to help build the technical backbone that powers AI-driven insights into immune-related disease.
  • By any means necessary. Identify and implement practical solutions to keep trials moving.
  • Own outcomes. Take clear ownership of member experience and data quality, even as a contractor.
  • Faster together. Collaborate closely with the core Onyx team and fellow contingent staff.

Requirements

  • $29-$39/hr depending on experience.
  • Approximately 3-5 days per week, ongoing.

Skills

  • Comfortable working independently at a clinical site without direct on-site supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs precisely.
  • Familiarity with universal precautions and safe handling of human biospecimens.
  • Must carry active professional liability insurance.
  • Must have an independently established business (LLC, sole proprietorship, or equivalent).
  • centrifugation, pipetting, aliquoting, and sample labeling.
  • MLT (ASCP), MLS (ASCP), or California CLS credential.
