About the role
- ACTS fosters hope, provides relief, and promotes self-sufficiency for our Prince William area neighbors in crisis.
- The Safe-house Supervisor will provide a trauma-informed environment to all occupants, ensure that the needs of the shelter occupants are being met and that all clients receive all appropriate services.
- This person will be in charge of training new staff, managing and scheduling, providing emergency coverage as needed, and be available to answer common questions on a day-to-day basis.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage Resident Assistants schedule and cover shifts, when needed.
- Maintains documentation of supervision sessions with staff.
- Provide crisis intervention, support, information, referrals/resources, to residents and to callers when answering the hotline.
- Maintain client records and track statistical data relevant to domestic violence and sexual assault victims and enter data into the VADATA and any other data base entry system that is assigned.
- Hold a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record insurable by our insurance carrier and able to drive a [15' box truck / van].
Requirements
- Experience with safe-houses/shelter assisting domestic violence and sexual assault victims.
- Experience dealing with clients in crisis, as well as experience as a trainer and presenter.
- Three years of experience in a management/supervisory role.
- Experience working in the field of domestic violence and sexual assault, particularly in shelters/safe-houses.

Compensation
- $63,647.45 per year ($1000 additional per year for bilingual capability in English and Spanish, French or Arabic and $1000 additional per year for additional degree of value to ACTS.)
