Responsibilities

  • Commission, test, and support operational technology systems for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites
  • Support installation and operation of Cameras, site WiFi, Carrier circuits, and other technology.
  • Support OT cybersecurity practices and compliance requirements as applicable
  • Collaborate with the organization's internal construction and operations teams during construction, commissioning, and operations of the BESS sites
  • Maintain accurate documentation including network diagrams, configurations, and as-built changes to IFC designs.
  • Understanding of OT network architecture and secure system design
  • We are seeking an Operational Technology (OT) Field Engineer to support the deployment and operation of utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
  • As an OT Field Engineer, you will support site-level technology associated with SCADA, Controls, power conversion systems (PCS), and industrial networks.
  • You will collaborate closely with the organization's operations and construction teams as well as utility partners during commissioning and throughout the operational lifecycle of BESS sites.

Requirements

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with Operational Technology associated with power, utilities, renewable energy, or heavy industrial environments such as oil and gas production/service/support
  • Hands-on experience commissioning or supporting PLC and/or SCADA-based systems
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites and work in outdoor, high-voltage utility environments
  • Experience with SCADA systems, HMIs, and plant control platforms
